PulseLearning is delighted to announce that our “Introduction to International Payments” program developed for Western Union Business Solutions has won a Gold award in the Best Product & Knowledge Training Project category at LearnX 2018.
Western Union partners with Financial Institutions (FIs) to serve the international payment and foreign exchange (FX) needs of their customers around the world. Previously, after FIs were onboarded with the WU® GlobalPay for FI platform, FI partners were trained on the system in face-to-face training sessions. As Western Union transformed this area of its growing digital business, an in-person partner training model was no longer sustainable.
To develop a digital partner training program, Western Union turned to PulseLearning to develop a leading-edge digital training program, enabling FI partners to develop competency in the Foreign Exchange and Payments industry and understand Western Union’s GlobalPay for FI platform. The goal was to develop contemporary and engaging courseware fit for the modern learner and scalable to meet the future vision of a global rollout to international FIs.
The result was a suite of diverse and easily accessed learning assets, including a dynamic introduction video to grab attention and set the scene, core eLearning modules, online resource toolkits, and an interactive PDF on-demand help guide.
The new eLearning modules broke the traditional systems’ training mold with live video clips of customer interaction points interspersed to replicate the real-world experience. Gamified challenges motivated learners to put new knowledge into practice while enjoying a sense of healthy competition. The real measurement of success is the value delivered to Western Union and their FI partners. Here is a snapshot of some of the business results reported by Western Union:
1. Increased number of transactions by product
2. Increased revenue
3. Increased employee capability and engagement with the GlobalPay platform
4. Reduced demand for customer service support
5. Reduced travel time and specific training delivery costs
At PulseLearning, it is our pleasure to establish and build a now gilded partnership with Western Union to assist them in meeting their business objectives as they support FI partners in global markets with their international payment needs.
“This has been a truly collaborative and creative partnership with PulseLearning,” said Western Union’s Global Head of Financial Institutions and Channel Partners, Alan Verschoyle-King. “We couldn’t be more proud to see the results of this partnership getting this esteemed recognition.”
Commenting on the award, Patrick Fealy, CEO of PulseLearning, said: “This is a very special win for our team. We are honored to receive this recognition of our efforts with Western Union, a true leader in international payments. I am thrilled to again see our team’s hard work and commitment to clients marked on the world stage with a Gold award from LearnX.”
